Baillie Gifford Prize for Non-Fiction

About the Baillie Gifford Prize for Non-Fiction

Samuel Johnson Prize until 2014. Winner, shortlist and longlist from the official year-by-year pages; 2018 published no longlist, so 2018 counts the shortlist. Two corrections to the official pages, which show only four shortlisted books beside the winner in 2007 and 2013: Brainwash is a 2007 shortlist book, not longlist, and Return of a King is a 2013 shortlist book, not 2012 (both per https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baillie_Gifford_Prize). Expected counts for 2012 and 2013 reflect the move.

Organization: Baillie Gifford Prize. Years are award years, which can differ from publication years. Official site (opens in a new tab)
