Boston Globe–Horn Book Awards

About the Boston Globe–Horn Book Awards

Winners, Honor Books and Special Citations, 2006-2025. 2006-2023 come from the Horn Book's Past Boston Globe–Horn Book Award Winners page; 2024 and 2025 from the Horn Book's announcement for each year. hbook.com blocks automated fetches, so the pages were read through Wayback Machine snapshots; citations point to the Horn Book URLs. Year is the award year (announced each June for books published June to May). The fiction category was named Fiction and Poetry in some years and Fiction in others; it is one category here. In 2024 the nonfiction category was Nonfiction and Poetry with a Nonfiction winner and a Poetry winner; both are Winners in Nonfiction. Special Citations (2008, 2024) have their own category. Author field names the writers, then illustrators or photographers when different, as credited; colorists are left out.

Organization: The Horn Book and The Boston Globe. Years are award years, which can differ from publication years. Official site (opens in a new tab)
