About the British Fantasy Award
Novel shortlists and winners. 2006-2011 had one Best Novel award (August Derleth Award), category Novel. 2012 had one shortlist with two winners: Fantasy Novel (Robert Holdstock Award) and Horror Novel (August Derleth Award); the other four shortlisted books sit under Novel. From 2013 the two awards have separate shortlists. Demon Dance (2011) won and its author later returned the award; it stays as announced. The society keeps no per-year archive, so rows cite sfadb.com (Locus Science Fiction Foundation).
