About the Lionel Gelber Prize
Lionel Gelber Prize (Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, University of Toronto), 2006-2025: winner plus the other shortlisted books (level Shortlist), five books per year. Year is the prize year as the body labels it (its <year>-gelber-prize pages); the prize is announced in spring for books published in the previous year. One category, labelled International Affairs. Source: the body's per-year pages on gelber.munkschool.utoronto.ca, one page per year. The pages omit a few author names (2007 Nixon in China, 2008 The Wilsonian Moment, 2013 Iron Curtain; 2018 winner named only in the blurb), filled from the books themselves (Margaret MacMillan, Erez Manela, Anne Applebaum). Obvious typos on the pages were fixed (e.g. 'Zakaria Fareed', 'Central America' for Central Asia in Descent into Chaos, 'Weapns', 'Popwer', Iron Curtain dated 1944-1956) and honorifics dropped (Sir). Wikipedia lists winners only and was used only as a cross-check. No longlist is published.
