About the Scott O'Dell Award for Historical Fiction
One winner a year from the award's own past-winners page; the award names no honor books or shortlist. Year is the award year the page uses (the book was published the year before). The page's list shows Rita Williams Garcia without the hyphen; her name is given as she publishes it.
Organization: Scott O'Dell Award committee (Reinberger Children's Library Center, Kent State University, since 2022). Years are award years, which can differ from publication years. Official site (opens in a new tab)
