About the YALSA Award for Excellence in Nonfiction for Young Adults

Winner and finalists (shortlist named each December) for every year since the award began in 2010, from YALSA's page for each year (2010-2023) and ALA's winner announcements, which list the finalists (2024-2025). Year is the award year YALSA uses (announced each January for books published Nov. 1-Oct. 31 before). Author field names the writers, then illustrators when credited.

Organization: Young Adult Library Services Association (American Library Association). Years are award years, which can differ from publication years. Official site (opens in a new tab)
