About the Time Out Best Books of the Year

Time Out's global edition year-end list of the best books, written by its London-based editors and published at timeout.com (no city prefix). Lists exist for 2022 (15, ranked), 2023 (15, unranked) and 2025 (10, ranked). There is no 2024 list: none turns up in search or in Time Out's global sitemap. The 2021 piece '15 really, really great books that got us through 2021' is left out because it is a reading list of older books, not a best-of-2021 list. Time Out London has no separate year-end book list. Time Out New York ran its own lists from 2011 to 2016; they are a different edition and are left out. City news posts that report library or bookshop picks (NYPL, Chicago, Los Angeles) and gift guides are left out. All pages were read directly from timeout.com, whose robots.txt allows Claude-User. Titles and authors are as the pages print them.
